There are many new guardianship laws that went into effect in 2017. The online databases have not been updated with the new laws yet.
There is also a Nevada Guardianship Commission currently studying the guardianship processes and identifying areas for change.
You may want to visit your local Law Library for help in locating the most current guardianship laws and rules.
- Nevada Revised Statutes Chapter 159. These are the Nevada statutes about guardianship.
- Nevada Rules of Civil Procedure. These are the Nevada court rules that apply to all district courts in Nevada.
- District Court Rules. Your local court has rules that must be followed. You can find a link to all of the local court rules here.
