Your local law library is a great place to start your search for information about whatever legal problem you might be facing.  They sometimes offer free legal sessions and free ask-a-lawyer appointments where you can get information and advice.  Visit this section to learn more about law libraries in Nevada.

You should check with your local court to find out if there are any law libraries nearby.  Some law libraries are located inside your local courthouse.

The list below is for the popular law libraries in Nevada, but it is not a complete list of all libraries that may be available.

 

Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library

The Supreme Court of Nevada Law Library is located at:

201 South Carson Street, Suite 100
Carson City, NV 89701

It is open to the public Monday - Friday from 8:00a.m. to 5:00p.m. 

They host some ask-a-lawyer sessions in collaboration with Nevada Legal Services.  Contact the library at (775) 684-1640 to learn more.                          

 

Clark County Law Library

The Clark County Law Library serves the litigants in the Eighth Judicial District.  It is a public law library open to everyone. The law library is located at 309 South Third Street, Suite 400, in downtown Las Vegas, Nevada. They host some free public legal education classes in collaboration with Nevada Legal Services

Washoe County Law Library

The Washoe County Law Library serves the litigants in the Second Judicial District.  It is a public library open to everyone.  The law library is located at 75 Court Street Room 101, Reno NV 89501.  They offer a "lawyer in the library" session at different times during the month where people can meet with attorneys for free.

Wiener-Rogers Law Library

The Wiener-Rogers Law Library supports the William S. Boyd School of Law and is open to the public.  The library is located on the campus of the University of Nevada Las Vegas, 1455 East Tropicana Avenue, Las Vegas, Nevada.
